Dragon Boat Festival Celebration
Monday we will celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. During this festival, Chinese people eat what is called Zong zi. It's sticky rice wrapped in a big leaf, and it is boiled. Then you take it out of the leaf and it stays together and you dip it in sugar and eat it. So the parents came to the kindergarten to have a fun day of making and eating Zong zi! The second tradition is to where what the American's call "Friendship Bracelets". The Children made many of these this week! Maybe if you look closly you might see a few of them on me or the children!
